• 1970s to 1980s: It was during this period that home automation began to gain relevance, with the development of new technologies, such as microelectronics, computing and telecommunications.
• 1980s: France was the pioneer country in implementing home automation in residential buildings. Home automation brings a wide range of benefits to its users, among which the following stand out:

• Comfort: With home automation, it is possible to automate various systems in the home, which provides greater convenience and comfort in everyday life. Imagine having the ability to regulate the temperature, brightness, electric blinds and curtains, and even ambient music, with a simple touch on your cell phone or through voice commands!
• Security: Through home automation, the security of your home is reinforced. Systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras and other smart devices offer additional protection, allowing you, for example, to monitor your home remotely.

• Security and Surveillance: Alarm, intrusion, fire or flood detection and notification systems, security cameras and smart locks that can be controlled remotely, etc.
• Home Appliance Automation: Smart home appliances that can be programmed and controlled via smartphone.
• Home Entertainment: Integrated, remotely controllable sound and video systems.
