KW Business buys property in Porto to support children in need of IPO treatment

This week KW Business announced its intention to acquire a property from the Portuguese Institute of Oncology (IPO) in Porto to support children and parents who have to travel to this Hospital Unit to receive treatments.

This project, with a start date set for 2018, also contemplates the possibility of future expansion of the initial space, equating it to a hostel, in order to accommodate all those who need to stay in Porto due to internships at the IPO.

This project will be financially supported by a foundation, to be created in the future by KW Business, thus reinforcing the group's commitment to social responsibility policies. The foundation will also aim to support the employees of the Business Group by granting scholarships to their children to complete their studies in Portugal or abroad.

The Portuguese Institute of Oncology of Porto Francisco Gentil (IPO) provides medical care in the field of oncology. The Porto IPO has a pediatric service to which 100 new cases involving children and young people arrive every year. This figure represents 1% of the 10,000 new patients that the institution treats each year.

KW Business is one of the main and most dynamic Keller Williams Market Centers operating in Portugal, with facilities in Braga, Vila do Conde, Famalicão and Porto and very soon in Madrid.

During a recent meeting organized by KW Business, the main objectives and the "Quantum Jump" strategy that will guide the group over the next 5 years were disclosed. In addition to the Foundation and the IPO support center, the main objective until 2023 is the internationalization of the group.Soon it will inaugurate the 5th Market Center, in Madrid, consolidating the position of the real estate group in the Iberian market, with the ambition to become the 1st real estate in Europe and to reach the mark of 1000 real estate consultants.

In addition to these projects, 2.5 million euros are earmarked for the expansion of the current Market Centers, increasing and modernizing the current spaces, as well as its human capacity. After the Market Center of Porto, whose new facilities were inaugurated in 2017, follow those of Braga and Famalicão.
