Description
Probably the best rural hotel in Reguengos de Monsaraz ...
This spectacular 6-hectare mountain has undergone a total recovery having only kept the original design, characteristic of the region.
Overlooking the Castle, 3 kms from the Fluvial Beach of Monsaraz and a short distance (on foot) from Lake Alqueva - the largest artificial lake in Europe - this is undoubtedly a reference place to live or invest.
With a construction area of 1057 m² and 23 rooms it currently works as a family home, with specific spaces for guests, and is distributed in the following areas:
- The main house - which has 3 suites - breathes culture, art, comfort and good taste, in harmony with the serenity of the landscape. With wide entrance and lounge, library and office.
- Adjacent to the main house we find 6 more suites (all equipped with AC, TV and minibar), a dining room and two more independent houses with Alentejo style, of types T2 and T3 .
- There are also several storage and laundry areas .
- The property features a salt water pool, an ecological garden and a biological garden .
The house is equipped with air conditioning, fireplace with stove, double glazing and photovoltaic panels. There is the possibility of building more villas / accommodations, in wood, overlooking the castle and the idyllic landscapes of Alentejo.
The hill has an orange grove with 170 orange trees and dozens of ancient olive trees . The property is based on a water reservoir , being completely autonomous and even supplying water to a contiguous hotel unit (which translates into additional income ).
Here you will find comfort and quality of life in a unique, peaceful environment full of history. Less than two hours from Lisbon, thirty minutes from Évora and 15 minutes from Spain.
Several activities are available for those visiting the Alqueva region . These include water-related activities, such as boat trips and fishing, as well as other traditional activities in the region, such as hunting.
The Alentejo is still universally referenced for its gastronomy, and its wines are highly appreciated, which implies not neglecting a gastronomic itinerary by the traditional restaurants of the region. Historically, the Alentejo has preserved numerous Roman and Moorish remains, which are references not to be missed in a tour of the region.
