Sharing School is an International School recognized for a totally innovative teaching system in Portugal, based on the International Baccalaureate® (IB) system.
There are 2 school campuses, one in Taguspark, in Oeiras (with 2 buildings located next to each other) and the other in Funchal, in Madeira Island.
The International Sharing School is a Multicultural School made up of more than 675 students from 55 different nationalities. The emphasis is on valuing learning, through the sharing of knowledge among all stakeholders in the school community, from parents to staff.
From 4 months to 18 years old, from pre-school to 12th grade, ISS provides the teaching of 8 different languages to its students throughout their academic training, with a team of more than 160 professionals. Each class has an average of 16 students and the proportion is 1 teacher for every 8 students.
The academic path is divided into 4 phases, the last 3 of which are based on the IB education system:
There are currently 4,655 IB schools spread across 149 countries with over five million students and 50,000 teachers. In Portugal, the 2 ISS campuses are one of the few schools authorized to teach according to this model.
International's Sharing School history dates back to 1980, when the Madeira British School was founded:
The school provides school transport from Lisbon, Oeiras, Cascais, Sintra, Amadora, Odivelas, Loures and nearby municipalities. Transport is not included in the fees and is subject to availability.
