The project by VIC Properties, the luxury condominium “Prata Riverside Village”, won the award for the best residential real estate development at the Salão Imobiliário de Lisboa - 2019.
The project under the responsibility of VIC Properties SA was elected within the scope of the Salão Imobiliário de Lisboa (SIL) 2019 awards, unanimously awarded by the AIP Foundation and the SIL Strategic Council.
VIC Properties had a strong presence at the Parque das Nações hall, through its Prata Riverside Village stand, where the project's model was presented - by the architect Renzo Piano - complemented with information about its commercialization.
João Cabaça, CEO of VIC Properties, commented on this distinction in the housing category as follows:
“It is with great satisfaction that we see Prata Riverside Village receive the distinction of best real estate development, recognition of quality and innovation of what is the first major 'author project' in Lisbon, designed to make the most of a unique relationship with the river and with the surrounding green area. With foundations in the past, but with an eye on the future, this development represents the best Lisbon has to offer, inspiring a new way of living the city”
This is Renzo Piano's first contribution to the development of the real estate sector in Portugal. The renowned Italian architect, distinguished in 1998 with the Pritzker Prize for Architecture of Italy, leads an international architectural agency, called “ Renzo Piano Building Workshop ” (RPBW), based in Paris, in whose studio more than 90 architects work.
Renzo Piano, with more than 120 projects in Europe, America and the Asia-Pacific area, has gained fame and respect with several iconic projects, from the 70s of the last century to the present, among which the following stand out:
The Menil Collection (Houston, Texas), Kansai International Airport (Osaka, Japan), the Tjibaou Cultural Center (New Caledonia), the Beyeler Institution (Basel, Israel), the Rome Auditorium, the Hermès House (Tokyo, Japan), the renovation and extension carried out on the Morgan Library (New York Times building), the Academy of Sciences (San Francisco, California), “ The Shard ” tower (London, England), the Astrup Fearnley Museum (Oslo, Norway), the Pathé Institution (Paris,France), the Columbia University Campus and the Museum of American Art (New York, E.UA), Stavros Niarchos Foundation (Athens), etc.
This project created a new centrality in Lisbon, renovating the old industrial area of Braço de Prata, in Marvila, with the construction of a “village by the river”, continuing the intervention of Parque das Nações, seeking to connect the neighborhoods of Lisbon to the Tagus.
More than 700 homes, shops, restaurants, offices, playgrounds and other equipment are planned, all along a green space that will be born with the name of Parque Ribeirinho Oriente.
The apartments, with different types and prices, were designed to enjoy the perfect combination of Light, Comfort and Style, between the green and blue of the Tagus.
